About Venture Capital Group Worldwide

After forming Bitcoin Branches in 2020 and hosting multiple in-person and virtual entrepreneur events, the founders of Bitcoin Branches saw a need within the entrepreneur community they helped bring together.

That led to the creation of Venture Capital Group Worldwide, which launched in early 2022 and is headquartered in El Salvador. We decided that we needed to not only connect entrepreneurs and provide them with valuable information, but also support them with options for funding their innovative cryptocurrency and blockchain related projects and companies.

Due to limited access to bank loans, capital, private equity, corporate investors, etc., we heard our entrepreneur participants’ concerns and frustrations. Who better to support cryptocurrency and blockchain entrepreneurs and innovators than other cryptocurrency and blockchain entrepreneurs?

Both our Venture Capital and Investor Groups are full of entrepreneurs and other investors who want to financially support crypto and blockchain startups and small companies that have long-term growth potential. These high-growth investment opportunities are what our investors will have access to as part of one or more of our groups under the Venture Capital Group Worldwide umbrella. We encourage you to join us – as a venture capital investor, other investor and/or as an emerging project or company that needs funding.

Our Team

Laurie Hermann and “Bitcoin Ben” Semchee joined forces in 2020 to launch Bitcoin Branches and its entrepreneur events in 2021. After much success, they decided that there was another need in the community they helped build.

Board of Directors

The Venture Capital Group will be led by a 7-person Board of Directors guiding the group’s overall direction. The Board of Directors will always include Venture Capital Group Worldwide leaders/owners Laurie Hermann and “Bitcoin Ben” Semchee.

For the first year (2022), the leadership team (Laurie and Ben) will hand select the remaining five members of the Board.

In subsequent years, the Venture Capital Group members will be asked to nominate other active members, or volunteer, for participation on the Board of Directors. All active group members will vote, and the five members who have the most votes will be designated as a member of the Board of Directors.

Each term is one-year, and the position is unpaid. Board of Director members will be required to participate in quarterly meetings as well as other responsibilities (to be determined). A full role description with responsibilities will be available soon.
